Trauma

Most people face at least one traumatic event in their lives.  Many people need help processing the trauma so that it doesn't lead to increased stress, anxiety, and/or depression.  Brainspotting and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) can help.

Individuals

Whether you are single or you are surrounded by 'ohana, whether you are young of age or only young at heart, sometimes you need an impartial sounding-board, a person who will listen with compassion and who won't judge you.  You do have the power to overcome any challenge,

and counseling can help.

Addiction

Addiction hurts the people who are addicted and everyone who loves them.  As a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) I work with clients who want to reduce and quit addictive behaviors.  It is a challenging road, but counseling can help.

No matter your age, figuring out who you are can be a heart-rending challenge. If you are struggling with issues to do with gender, sexual orientation, or just wondering what love, romance, and sex have to do with anything at all, counseling can help.

Issues with the Law

Perhaps you or someone you love has spent time in prison. Life on the outside can be very challenging. Counseling can help you adjust. Also,  family members may have a hard time dealing with the pain of losing a loved one to the prison system.  Counseling can help.

Adolescents

Kids are kids, but they sure don't fit into a single puka! I have many years of experience working with middle school and high school aged people. If you know a child facing challenges or an adult facing the challenge of raising children,

counseling can help.
